Accommodation in Altopiano of Asiago

Altopiano of Asiago or Europe’s largest cross country skiing expanse lies along the mighty Dolomite Mountains, near the Trentino region of North Eastern Italy. It is also called the Altopiano di Asiago 7 Comuni as it comprises of seven rural communities of Conco, Asiago, Foza Gallio, Enego, Lusiana, Rotzo and Roana all featuring their own cross country skiing trail networks.

From the start of the winter season from December 8th right up to April 30th the region is abuzz with dog-sledding competitions, ice-skating, horseback riding in the snow, après-ski activities, bungee jumping and paragliding among other cultural and creative festivities.

Apart from the numerous cafes and restaurants that dot the streets, Asiago offers a range of accommodation options to suit most travelers’ budgets. There is no lack of 4-star, 3-star and 2-star hotels as the township is packed during the winter skiing months as well as in the summer months when people visit to beat the heat and hustle and bustle of city life. Asiago also offers hostels for backpackers looking for a cheaper option and rental villas and apartments for larger families. However, if you are looking for a high end holiday experience in Altopiano di Asiago, you must consider some of the places chosen time and again by travelers to this part of Italy.

The top most 4-star recommendation in terms of ambience and holiday experience among all other hotels in Asiago is the Sporting Residence Hotel. The main building of the resort has been cleverly transformed into a luxury hotel from an old familial home. Apart from the usual 4-star amenities and services, the Sporting Residence Hotel also offers spa and sauna, sun beds, Turkish bath and a well outfitted massage center.

Sporting Resort and the Malga Galmarara is two of its most recent additions that each offers a unique staying experience. The Malga Galmarara has basic stay options and parking for rented mountain bikes and a stable for rented horses. They also have an affiliation with the local Golf Club so that guests can tee off if they want to during the clubs working hours.

Hotel Europa is another highly sought after staying option among holiday makers owing to its well appointed rooms and typical alpine style of interiors using pine wood and other local accents. Their main restaurant St Hubertus is the place to meet for lunch or business dinners.

Linta Park is also a 4-star property that sits on the top of the hill above Asiago and is surrounded by a wellness center and private gardens along with the usual spa and swimming pool. It is just 15 minutes walking distance from the Asiago center.

The Erica Hotel, located 1000 meters above sea level in Asiago is a beautiful 3-star accommodation option set in scenic surroundings that bring you closer to nature than you could imagine. Its close proximity to Mount Verena and Le Melette in addition to the regional airport is another reason why tourists choose to stay here. Furthermore all rooms are well furnished with all modern amenities required on a holiday.

Alpi Hotel at the Asiago center is a 2-star luxury hotel that provides its visitors all the regular amenities offered by a hotel of this standing. The Alpi also has some high adventure sports and trekking services.
Asiago also has plenty of hostels such as the Ostello Di Asiago that has tennis lawns, pools, a skating rink and a golf course as well.

Apart from all of the above, families also have the option of renting villas and apartments on a time share basis.
